SmartShot does not collect, store or share any personal data. Everything happens on your device.
SmartShot uses the camera to take photos. To decide when everyone is ready, it analyses the live camera image on your device using Apple's on-device Vision framework. Camera frames and face information are processed in memory only. They are never saved, never sent anywhere and never used to identify anyone.
Photos you take are saved to your own photo library. SmartShot reads your library only to show your photos in its viewer and to save edits you make. Your photos are never uploaded or shared by SmartShot. If you choose to share a photo, it goes only where you send it.
SmartShot remembers your chosen photo format and resolution on your device so it can use them next time. This stays on your device.
SmartShot collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
